Despite his successes, Hill only competed in one race during the 1967 season, making laps at Martinsville. But the race was a tough one for the driver, only completing ninety-one laps before a broken differential left the driver in 28th position. Hill's final career race came during the 1968 season, when he made an one-off appearance at Hillsboro. Unfortunately, his promising career ended quite poorly. Hill only made one lap during the race before problems with the oil pressure knocked him out of the race and to last (24th) position.
