The company was founded on 7 August 1995 with an investment of first Billion Philippine peso. The plant operates as a joint venture between Isuzu and Mitsubishi, with each holding 35%. Other shareholders, with a share of 30%, are the Philippine Investors Ayala Corporation and Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation. The plant management reports to the CEO Ryoji Yamazaki . The site comprises an area of 13 hectares and is located in Laguna Technopark in Biñan. The Isuzu Philippines Corporation annually produces 8,000 to 15,000 vehicles. Directly adjacent is the work of the gear producer Isuzu Autoparts Manufacturing Corporation. Production began in 1996 with the Isuzu Hilander, the Isuzu N-Series and the Isuzu Forward. These still dominate the model range in revised form. Then came the 1997 Isuzu Fuego, which was very popular. A year later came the Isuzu Trooper. In 2003 came the PickUp Isuzu D-Max, and in 2005 its SUV variant under the name Isuzu Alterra. As a production model, however, the company has offered since 2007 the Isuzu NHR-PV. It is a 17-seater bus, which is built on a chassis of the N series.
