  • Darth Temera was a female Twi'lek born into slavery on Ryloth as Alana Reya. Enslaved by the Galactic Empire, Reya was bought by Grand Moff Trachta, who then gave her to Merillion Tarko as a gift when she was five years old. During her servitude under Tarko, Reya worked as a slave at his casino on Cato Neimoidia. She was freed when a Jedi destroyed the casino and killed Tarko. By the time she was twelve she had been enslaved once again, this time by Jabba Desilijic Tiure, leader of the Hutt Cartel. After Jabba's death at the hands of Leia Organa in 4 ABY, the Zann Consortium seized many of his assets before the Empire could, including Reya. She became Tyber Zann's personal dancer when she turned sixteen. At some point, Reya learned that she was Force-sensitive from Silri, Zann's Nightsister associate and began to learn the ways of the Dark Side from her. In 8 ABY she was bought by Aryn Kallo, one of Zann's regular contacts. Unknown to Zann, Kallo was in fact the Sith Lord Darth Nathemus. Soon after being bought by Nathemus, Reya's Force-sensitivity caught the Sith Lord's attention and Nathemus took her as his Sith apprentice, giving her the title of Darth and renaming her Temera. Nathemus outlined to Temera his plans for a new Sith Empire and the two went into hiding in the Unknown Regions to build up their strength and await the right time to strike against the New Republic and the Imperial Remnant. Decades later, the Reformed Sith Empire launched a simultaneous invasion of the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances and the Fel Empire. Eventually, the Sith were defeated. Temera, unlike her master, managed to escape from the war's final battle and at some point joined Darth Krayt's One Sith. As a member of this Sith Order, Temera taught her own apprentice, Darth Narl, who would later kill her at the order of Darth Wyyrlok.
