Disruptor Cannons were gun pods developed by the Robotech Expeditionary Force for use by their Veritech Mecha fighters. These single-barreled weapons were mounted on Shadow Fighters, replacing the triple-barreled gun pods of the Alpha Fighter. This was due to the fact that the Disruptor Cannons were able penetrate the powerful force fields which protected Invid Hives.
