  • The Firebat is a Terran infantry unit that specializes in close-quarters combat. Used predominantly during the Great and Brood Wars, they provided heavy support for groups of Marines with lighter armor. Very effective against small Zerg strains, Firebats were mostly used to prevent allies from being overwhelmed by swarm tactics. After the Brood War, they have been gradually phased out in favor of the more hard hitting Marauders. However some remained in use, and a number were upgraded to Fire Drakes, a more moveable and ranged version. For more information see Firebat on the parent site.
  • During the Guild Wars, a few firebats wore experimental CMC-230 XF armor, equipped with jet-packs. The armor had reliability issues, however, and so was quickly phased out. During the Great War, Terran Confederacy firebats were equipped with wrist mounted Perdition flamethrowers and CMC-660 combat suits. The vulnerable flame tanks are protected by containment fields. United Earth Directorate firebats were armed with the C-140 "Epyon" Plasma Incinerator Cannon.
  • Firebats exists in volcanos and are vicious of nature. They once attacked Lion-O.
  • FIREBAT JETs are housed in vertical silos in TERROR DROMEs, ready for launch at any time. Their wings unfold after launch, and they are piloted by A.V.A.C.s (Air Vipers, Advanced Class). They defend Cobra Unity and other interests of Cobra and its allies and customers.
  • The Firebat is a heavy-duty microcar dune buggy speedster, and is noticeably reminiscent of the Dragonfly. Unlike the Dragonfly, however, it is not quite as covered in armor and its durability lacks in comparison. To add to this, both the acceleration and steering is mediocre. The latter becomes nearly non-existent the moment the turbo is engaged, at which point it is as if the steering wheel is locked down. Drifting somewhat counteracts this during turns, but it is highly inadvisable to use the Firebat on any track with sharp turns or any combat-based mode.
