Pandora is a binary star system within the Typhon Expanse in the Beta Quadrant at the coreward edge of the Federation. Pandora-A is a white dwarf, while Pandora-B is a red giant; the two stars orbit a common center of gravity. 5000 years ago, Pandora-A went nova, which destroyed the inner solar system, leaving only a wide asteroid belt. The only remaining planet is Pithos, formerly a Class-J gas giant, but now stripped of most of its atmosphere and reduced to a Class-B hunk of dead rock.

| - Pandora is a binary star system within the Typhon Expanse in the Beta Quadrant at the coreward edge of the Federation. In the 24th century, Starfleet constructed Starbase Pandora on a large asteroid hidden in the center of the asteroid belt. (Star Trek: Pandora)
