He went on to work as a developer and producer of video games, handling projects for Sony, Capcom and Warner Brothers. In an interview with We Are Game Devs, Williams discussed feeling like an outsider in the industry: "I remember writing fiction for World of Darkness and being the one person in the room screaming: WHERE ARE THE BLACK PEOPLE?!" He pushed to ensure that people of color were represented in the World of Darkness, with characters such as Dante and the Assamite vampires.
