Alternative Xperience Wrestling, or AXW for short, is a Miami, Florida based federation created by Luke Mathews in the spring of 2013. The original life of AXW was very short, but was brought back in the summer of 2014 as an Excelsior Wrestling Society territory, serving as their Northeast territory, where the company relocated to Syracuse, New York. During its time in EWS, AXW would be taken over by TRENT, where he relocated the company to New York City, New York. At Rise 2015, Luke Mathews regained control of the company, which was in the process of splitting from EWS and returning to its own stand-alone company.
