Sam Dastor (born 2nd October 1941 in Bombay, India) appeared in Coronation Street as Weatherfield Market trader Jimmy in October 1981. After studying English at Cambridge University, he trained at RADA and has also appeared in Softly Softly: Task Force, I, Claudius, Space: 1999, Crown Court, The Borgias, Doctors and Yes, Prime Minister. Film appearances include The Life and Death of Peter Sellers and Such a Long Journey. His stage appearances include parts at the National Theatre, the RSC, the West End as well as an international tour of A Servant To Two Masters.
