Merle tried to feed Queen Griddle to Yugmort, but Griddle, while welcoming whatever fate awaited her due to the idea of King Allfire's unwillingness to save her (over his quest for the Holy Quail, though admittedly he did not read the ransom letter), yelled at Yugmort for interrupting her soliloquy, and he ran away crying.
