Djenon Aboure is played by the Aboure which live in the extreme southeastern Ivory Coast. The Aboure, also known as the Agoua, Abonwa, and Compa, number approximately 35,000 people. Most of them are commercial farmers. The game was first described by Jordi Climent Tondo in 2012.
