Final Fantasy VII: ASCII Children was a writing project created by Lettuce kefka. It was a retelling of the story of Final Fantasy VII (not Advent Children), with quite a few liberties taken. Probably the most notable thing about ASCII Children was its humorous rendering of the Midgar Zolom. Because of the Zolom's initial reaction, it became a major character, appearing throughout the story. Zolom's popularity got so large that the board was actually able to create a successful nomination rally to get it into the Summer 2007 Contest.
