With nowhere to go, Sawafao wandered the galaxy before being discovered by a messiah. This messiah led him to a new world, where Sawafao trained as a Sith Lord under Darth Vampirus. He went on to become a member of the Council of High Lords on Korriban, presiding over a time of great strife. He cemented his power over the Sith and took two apprentices, Darth Brandus and Darth Marinus, but never felt that they accomplished much. His early actions dampened the spirits of the people of Korriban, but Sawafao was secure in his power and grew complacent. To placate the people, he held an annual contest to amuse them and celebrate their entries. This continued for many years to generally little effect.
