The Manji Cult (卍教 Manji-kyō Manji Cult?) is a strange creed that had a magic stone that could turn ordinary men into possessed servants. The Manji were headed by a mysterious woman named On (怨), who had at some point come upon an ancient stone that contained the spirit of a demon. The stone could be used to brainwash and physically mutate people into mindless servants. On took advantage of this arcane power and began building an army of hellish demon-human hybrids, though she also employed regular humans as followers as well. The Manji then began attacking religious temples and taking them for their own, either killing or turning the monks who had been there originally. Upon learning of this, Lord Gohda dispatched an Azuma ninja to deal with the cult.
