Commander Sophie Fawkes was a female Starfleet officer serving as the first officer aboard the USS Atlas under Captain Morgan Bateson by 2381. During the Borg Invasion of 2381, the Atlas was assigned as part of a fleet to intercept an armada of ten Borg cubes heading for Vulcan. Fawkes was responsible for seeing to the ship's operations while Captain Bateson oversaw the fleet. After their initial volley of transphasic torpedoes, eight of the ten cubes remained, and Fawkes ordered evasive pattern Foxtrot Blue. When it was suspected that the Borg had adapted to the torpedoes, the USS Billings set a collision course, which Fawkes tried to warn them off, but was too late. She ordered evasives as the cubes returned fire and decimated their fleet. (ST - Destiny novel: Lost Souls)
