The alphabet used to write the Elosian Language for all of recorded history. Some of the letters appear to have been borrowed from the alphabet used by the Ipsilstanst. Many of the letters used in archaic Elosian have long since fallen out of use in standard Elosian, but survive in the closely related Knarrian Alphabet. The pronunciation rules of standard Elosian since Imperial times allow a single letter to represent either a voiced and unvoiced consonant, depending on context. This is what allowed one or the other of the two archaic letters to be discarded.
