Grekshar had perished prior to the Burning Legion's discovery of the orcs. When Ner'zhul begun to suspect his new patron, Kil'jaeden's intentions were less than noble he visited the ancestors in Oshu'gun. After pleading for the ancestors to guide him, they appeared before Ner'zhul, including Grekshar. Grekshar condemed Ner'zhul as being too easily guiled, and too weak to resist the demonlord.
