The Extreme Pokémon Race is a competition that trainers compete in the Johto region. It is a race where trainer ride on skateboards while their Pokémon pull them forward with collars. During the race, the trainer must carry a toy Pokémon egg to the finish line. The winning trainer receives a Golden Poké Ball trophy while the Pokémon receives a medal.
