The inquisitive's kit is an item first featured in the 3.5 edition's Eberron Campaign Setting and again in the 4th edition's Eberron Player's Guide. The Inquisitive's kit was made popular by free-lance Inquisitives, it contains a collection of the most used tools within the trade. It includes containers of various shapes and sizes made of glass, metal and wood; fine silk gloves, mundane dusts and brushes; tweezers, picks, and probes; a magnifying lens; inks and quills; chalk and charcoal; parchment sheets; and a small journal.
