The vessino clam was a rare mollusk which was found only in the deep waters of the Haragaer and the southern Belegaer. A source of a valuable ingredient for a healing balm that soothed and healed burns, it was prized by lay healers and medicinists. Its beautiful, silvery shell was also noted as an exquisite ornament.
