On stardate 45587.9, the Denver was stricken by a Cardassian gravitic mine while transporting 517 colonists to the Beloti sector. The ship was forced to crash land on a planet in the Mericor system. The USS Enterprise-D responded to the disaster and provided medical assistance to the survivors. (TNG: "Ethics" ) The Star Trek Encyclopedia (4th ed., vol. 1, p. 328) described this vessel as a Yorkshire-class starship, with a registry of NCC-54927.
