House Felcarn was a formerly loyalist Imperial Knight household that repudiated its oath of loyalty to the Imperium of Man during some unknown point in Imperial history. It is said that House Felcarn became corrupted from within by Chaos. Rumours state that a single surviving member of that family somehow escaped the subsequent Inquisitorial purges, proving his innocence, and went on to prove himself as the Freeblade known as Penitent Blade, through his tireless efforts to rid his world of the Chaos Cults that plagued it.
