The Albanian Alps were a mountain range along the border between Albania and Kosovo in Eastern Europe. When Victor and Andre Drazen relocated to the city of Đakovica near the North Albanian Alps, the U.S. Joint Special Operations Command feared that they and their army would disappear into the mountains where NATO forces couldn't find them. This, in part, was the impetus for Operation Nightfall, the mission to assassinate Victor Drazen. (Findings at CTU)
