Aunt Irene is Sid's paternal aunt. Sid and his family plan to visit Aunt Irene in the Sid the Science Kid episode "Sid's Holiday Adventure" to celebrate the holidays. Irene lives in Minnesota. While Mort recalls the fun of celebrating Chanukah at Aunt Irene's growing up, Sid is unsure he will enjoy a cold and snowing holiday. Grandma and Sid decide to call Irene to check on the weather in Minnesota prior to their trip. Although she is unseen, Irene is heard on the phone (and sounds quite similar to Sid's grandma).
