Huynh was born in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and moved to California prior to her high school years. She graduated from the University of California, San Diego, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Development in 1999 and moved on to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Digital Media from Otis College of Media and Design in 2006. Huynh's various skills include compositing, motion graphics, miniature set design and construction, digital matte painting, 2D tracking, storyboarding, sculpting, life drawing, concept design, and graphic design.
