The 1983 Busch Nashville 420 was a Winston Cup (now Nextel Cup) event held at Nashville Speedway USA on July 16, 1983. Dale Earnhardt dominated the event, leading 212 of the 420 laps in route to a fifteen-and-a-half in route to victory over Darrell Waltrip. Bobby Allison finished 4th and held a 202-point championship lead on Waltrip.
