Bruce Gillespie was a professor immune to the effects of The Darvias Saga. Bruce was the leader of the Movement for Real Literature. The group began protests to get The Darvias Saga banned. He recruited Charlotte Pollard for his cause and together they plotted to kill the book's author, Nathaniel Clamp. Bruce was shot by Charley after she had a change of heart about killing Nathaniel.
