A mysterious and aged Daeva appears from nowhere with no written record or history of his ascension. When questioned, he claims he ascended 1000 years ago in the early days after the Apocalypse. He call himself "Gelid" and is unable to account for his whereabouts all these years; nor can he account for the fake he has aged severely. He befriends Leah, and becomes "accepted" by the ruling elite of Sanctum as a result. Yet, no history or record of his ascension is ever found. What is Gelid up to? Who is he really and where did he come from?
