The Zangan are the beast men of Amtor (name translation literally meaning beast-men). They do not seem to be an actually sapient race, instead being more like animals, somewhat like an earthly ape. Their hind legs are short, and they usually walk on their hind toes with their heels corresponding to hocks. Their hands are more human, and they use them for walking on their palms. Their skin is white, they have a flat nose, a huge undershot jaw, and close-set savage looking eyes. They are almost hairless except for the hair upon their head and jowls. They hunt in packs devouring both man and beast.
