Awesome Games was started in November, and developed a part of its userbase from word of mouth on the popular website Roblox. It never got much attention, despite numerous efforts by the owner to advertise it. You had to be a minimum of ten to join in the beginning, although the minimum signup age was later changed to twelve to comply with a change in the rules. Due to the fact the owner was underaged during the creation of the site, it was shut down within two years of opening.
