Grumble the Magic Elf is a children's book whose plot centered on its protagonist, Grumble the Elf, and his misfortune at the hands of Mondo the Magician. Tommy Oliver, Kimberly Ann Hart, and Rocky DeSantos were trapped within the book by Rita Repulsa, but eventually escaped. However, Mondo the Magician was then freed from the book by Rita and engaged in battle with the Rangers only to be destroyed.
