It was one of the richest mining centers in the Terran Federation, which it officially was a member of; but due to the harsh locale and the types of miners attracted, it was efefctively outside of Federal law. There were at least four main mining centers on Sisuphos: Camp 1, Camp 2, Camp 3, and Camp 4.
