Nagisa was an enchanting woman living within a village nearby the Kakita Academy. One student, Kakita Tsoburo fell in love with her, and Nagisa for a time corresponded. a tragedy began when she met Tsoburo's father, Kakita Getai, and they became lovers. Nagisa could not maintain the secret and told Tsoburo she had fallen in love of another duelist of the Academy, but Getai's name was not said. Angered, the young duelist requested a challenge to the new lover of Nagisa, a message she was obliged to pass. Knowing of the sacrifice her lover was planning to make at the duel for his son, Nagisa decided to join him and committed suicide.
