In older Barantine tradition, groups who sought to prove their strength or valor would be ordered to bring back the eye of an Ulyssian Opaleye Basilisk from the heights of this plateau. Few groups would return, and so over time and in Barantine style groups transitioned to other forms of bravery. Today, the Plateau is used, rarely, for travel between towns. Some bounty hunters continue the traditions of old for riches and fame.
