Sylvio Rudd is a human arms dealer ith connections to the Sanctuary. He was wounded by John Druitt when he attempted to kidnap Ashley Magnus. A short time later he accompanied Helen Magnus and Will Zimmerman to the Himalayas to capture a Yeti. However, the creature they captured was actually a magoi posing as a Yeti and while transporting it, the plane crashed in the Hindu Kush. Shortly after the crash, the magoi killed Sylvio.
