Valeri Liukin is a gymnast who represented the Soviet Union at the 1988 Olympic games. Liukin won gold in the team and horizontal bar events and silver medals in the all-around and parallel bars. Liukin married rhythmic gymnast Anna Kotchneva. Liukin is the father of 2008 Olympic champion Nastia Liukin.
