The Lowell System was a star system in the space of the Republic of Haven. It was conquered by the People's Navy in the 19th Century PD. (HH4) Members of the Lowell Space Navy were among the prisoners on the planet Hades. (HH8) Lowell was later taken away from the Havenites by the Manticoran Alliance. It was one target which to retake Admiral Thomas Caparelli felt would be a low-risk operation for the People's Navy shortly before Operation Buttercup. (HH9)
