His mate is Proleva and he is certain that Proleva's son Jaradal is of his "spirit". His mother is Marthona. The man of the hearth at the time of his birth was Joconan. Joconan died when he was young, so his other siblings have different fathers. Jondalar is born of Dalanar's spirit, Thonolan and Folara were almost certainly born of Willamar's spirit.
