The Mermaid's Tale was a tavern in the port of Viviana on the island of New Avalon. Jack Sparrow had a few drinks in the tavern when he commanded the EITC merchant vessel Wicked Wench. The tavern keeper provided him with information which he needed to liberate the young Kerman pharaoh Shabako from slavery.
