In the episode's story, Smurfette approached the brook soon after her arrival in Babylon as she was lamenting appearing in another time period where there are no flowers growing, and the spirit responded to her to comfort her. The spirit told her of a garden nearby, which Smurfette was eager to visit and rushed off to go there before the spirit could tell her anything more about the garden.
