The Dusky crested flycatcher (Elminia nigromitrata), is a species of flycatcher in the Stenostiridae family. It is found in Cameroon, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Kenya, Liberia, Nigeria, Republic of the Congo, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.
