A subversion of Plot Induced Stupidity usually used for comic relief. We know sometimes characters have trouble mastering their powers, but sometimes, established powers seem to just get forgotten entirely. They find themselves in a dire situation where any normal person would be in serious trouble. They start to panic... and then they remember, oh yeah, I have superpowers/magic/advanced technology.
