Discus is a species of gliding dragon lizard (or agamid) that makes its home on the rocky shore. Pretty green-and-yellow-colored lizards, they take their name from the round shape of their wing-like rib and membrane extensions, similar to that of flying dragons. These enable them to make short, quick glides between rocks in pursuit of insects and to avoid the gulls that prey on them.
