Though both sides launched starfighter squadrons and took fair casualties, Secura's fleet was overpowered and was hastily destroyed, the commander for the Separatist forces, TF-1726, launched B2-RP Battle Droids to board Secura's cruiser. Though at that time, reinforcements from the 501st Legion, led by Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano and Captain Rex, arrived in the system and deployed LAAT Gunships. They met with fierce resistance from the Rocket Droids with Skywalker's gunship being severely damaged; Skywalker himself jumped atop a Rocket Droid and used it to board Secura's cruiser with Tano and Rex just behind via their damaged gunship crashing into the cruiser.
