Sometime in the 2370s, Starfleet Intelligence discovered a group of Obsidian Order operatives attempting to infiltrate Starbase 43. Rather than arresting them, SI immediately began feeding them misinformation. The Order operatives disappeared after five months under mysterious circumstances, but SI nevertheless considered the counterintelligence operation a significant success.
