The Bright Hope was a GR-75 transport that served the Alliance to Restore the Republic. During the evacuation of Echo Base on Hoth, the Bright Hope was the last transport that left the planet with the help of Rebel pilots Wedge Antilles, Derek Klivian, and Wes Janson. Princess Leia Organa was also meant to depart on the Bright Hope, but was instead forced to flee aboard the Millennium Falcon when a tunnel collapse blocked her route to the transport.
