The Alban Fire Protection Team provided firefighting services to a municipally-unorganized area around the community of Alban and the French River area along Highway 69. Equipment and funding were provided by the Province of Ontario. In 1999, this area became part of the new Municipality of French River and the fire station part of French River Fire Department.
