The USS Yamato (NCC-71807) (or NCC-1305-E) was a Galaxy-class starship, serving Starfleet during the mid-24th century. Her dedication plaque bore a Thomas Jefferson quote: "I have sworn eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man." In 2363, the Yamato finished construction at Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards and was subsequently launched under the command of Captain Donald Varley. The Yamato was the second Galaxy-class starship in the line.
