Layer NGX is sole survivor of the staff among the prison which Bass used to get to Earth. As a new recruit and trained to be a navigator she was no match for the Bloody Barons and hid. During Bass' and Megaman's battle in the prison in Earth's orbit she jumps into an escape pod and fled to Earth, but the fight resulted in the prison's explosion damaging Layer's pod. Her pod crashed in England resulting in her death like what happened to Megaman. Her pod was found by Dr. Noele Lalinde
