Okuninushi can be casted through any medium which is what makes the genjutsu so versatile. Once casted, the user catches the target within an illusion that he/she has complete control over. Unlike other techniques, that simply cause the target to become helpless when casted, this technique can also cast illusions where the target continues to move around under the pretense of the genjutsu. This means the user is not only able to generate illusions in their own genjutsu realm, but also able in what appears to be the physical realm.
